Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions:

To reserve your spot in this workshop, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is due upon enrollment. If for some reason you must cancel, I will refund your deposit in the event that I fill your spot in the workshop.

The remainder of the deposit is due 30 days prior to the date of the workshop.

This trip will involve walking over uneven ground, sometimes in low-light and potentially in dark nighttime conditions. The Arizona high desert in summer can be extremely hot, and then extremely cold at night. All participants MUST bring adequate hot and cold weather gear. By joining me you acknowledge that you possess appropriate winter clothes, and also that you are in good physical condition and able to take part in walking and hiking over uneven ground.

To join me on this trip, you MUST book Travel Insurance (I recommend Allianz) and sign and return an acknowledgement of terms/conditions and liability wavier with your deposit to reserve your spot (email me for this document to send in with your deposit). I carry insurance that provides some coverage, but you need to supplement this with Travel Insurance to cover what my carrier does not (including but not limited to lost baggage, cancelled flights, medical emergency, for example).

Cost / What is Included and What isn't Included

The cost of this all-inclusive Sedona and Grand Canyon Arizona Photography Workshop Adventure is $5,500/person, double occupancy.

The size of this workshop is limited to 5 students, and it is co-taught by my teaching associate Michael Okimoto. This is a very small group, and you will have ample one-on-one teaching and instruction.

  • Airfare to/from Flagstaff is not included

  • Lodging is included, and is double occupancy. If you want your own room, I will try to obtain one for you but may not be available in all accommodations, and additional charges will be required.

  • All meals are included in this workshop

  • Transportation is included in this workshop, including all taxes, fuel, and tolls.

  • I will pick you up from the Flagstaff Airport at any time on July 29th. Please try to book a flight that arrives in the early afternoon. If this is not possible, please come a day early, and I can help you find reasonable accommodation in Flagstaff. For departure on August 4th, please try to find a flight that leaves in early afternoon.

  • Instruction in photography at each shooting opportunity is included, as is instruction in planning and post-processing.

A Final Note about Arizona’s Monsoon Weather

This workshop has been scheduled in late July/early August specifically to take advantage of the gorgeous monsoon weather. While we will always wish for moody skies, colorful sunsets, and clear aurora-filled nights, we will most certainly be met with some clouds and rain. You will be expected to come prepared for any and all weather conditions. If the weather is wet or stormy, we will replace shooting sessions with post-processing sessions as desired. As always we will hope for the perfect mix of stormy clouds for dramatic landscapes but not too stormy so we can't go out. I am unfortunately unable to control both the weather so I cannot guarantee that we will photograph lightning and thunderstorms, but I will do everything in my power to make sure that you not only come home with amazing photos when we do see it, but that you learn a great deal and have an amazing adventure.
